As the June 6, 2005 delivery date of Norwegian Cruise Line’s (NCL) Pride of America draws near, NCL eagerly anticipates the deployment of this second of three US-flagged ships that will sail Hawaii under the NCL America brand.

“With two NCL America ships sailing inter-island cruises and a Norwegian Cruise Line ship sailing a Hawaii/Fanning Island itinerary this will be the largest cruise deployment ever for Hawaii,” said Colin Veitch, president and CEO of NCL America.

The Pride of America will begin sailing seven-day round-trip cruises from Honolulu on July 23rd, 2005 as well as offering three-day and four-day inter-island cruises between Honolulu and Maui.

As the first newly-built US-flagged cruise ship in 50 years, the Pride of America , celebrates a ‘Best of America’ theme and features 22 wheelchair-accessible staterooms, state-of-the-art entertainment venues, three pools and an abundance of spacious public rooms.

The Pride of Aloha , NCL America’s first US-flagged cruise ship, will continue to sail seven-day, round-trip Hawaii itineraries, visiting all four main islands and giving passengers up to 96 hours in port.
