Accessible Puerto Vallarta Walking Tours
Puerto Vallarta Walking Tours recently announced the addition of a wheelchair-accessible walking tour to their offerings. This two-hour walk, which is led by a Department of Tourism-certified guide, begins at the Hotel Rosita and continues along the Malecon (the seawall) and ends at the Los Muertos Pier. The pace is slow and relaxed on this level two-mile walk, which also makes a great shore excursion. Along the way visitors are regaled with stories about the history of the Malecon — from the days of the Aztecs, pirates and Spanish Conquistadors, to the antics of modern-day Hollywood actors and famous politicians. And if you’d like to grab a bite to eat afterwards, the tour guide is happy to offer some local restaurant recommendations. The tour is held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2-4 P.M., and it’s priced at $35 per person. Tickets can be purchased on-line at www.puertovallartawalkingtours.com at least 24 hours in advance. For more information e-mail sandra.learn.vallarta@gmail.com.
